Our Story

When my daughter was born I bought every type of baby blanket and the stretchy knit swaddles soon became the favorite. They had the perfect stretch, but were also smooth and soft for a newborn. A few months later I started making swaddles for baby shower gifts, and finally after being nudged a few times, I opened an etsy shop to sell my creations. Nothing makes me happier than seeing a newborn baby swaddled in a cute print, and each picture I receive pushes me to keep going.  Since then I have started making beanies, headbands, and binky blankets. My current favorite are the large blankets so every member of the family can be wrapped up in a butter soft blanket.  Each swellieco product is handmade just for you!
